Porsche Macan - an all-wheel drive crossover that has taken a place in the lineup under the Porsche Cayenne. In 2015, the company will introduce a "basic" version of the Macan, the specifications of which have yet to be disclosed. In the meantime, at the start of sales, which will take place in the spring of 2014, three modifications will be available to customers:

Porsche Macan S Diesel

• with a six-cylinder turbodiesel with a volume of 3 liters;

• maximum power - 258 hp at 4,000-4,250 rpm;

• peak torque - 580 Nm at 1,750-2,500 rpm;

• acceleration to hundreds - 6.3 seconds;

• maximum speed - 230 km / h;

• the average consumption per hundred kilometers is 6.3-6.1 liters.

Porsche Macan S

• with a gasoline "turbo-six" with a volume of 3 liters;

• maximum power - 340 hp at 5,500-6,500 rpm;

• peak torque - 460 Nm at 1,450-5,000 rpm;

• acceleration to hundreds - 5.4 seconds;

• maximum speed - 254 km / h;

• the average consumption per hundred kilometers is 9.0-8.7 liters.

Porsche Macan Turbo

• with a six-cylinder supercharged petrol engine of 3.6 liters;

• maximum power - 400 hp at 6,000 rpm;

• peak torque - 550 Nm at 1,350-4,500 rpm;

• acceleration to hundreds - 4.8 seconds;

• maximum speed - 266 km / h;

• the average consumption per hundred kilometers is 9.2-8.9 liters.

All three versions come standard with an all-wheel drive transmission and a seven-speed PDK robotic gearbox.

The base chassis for the Porsche Macan S Diesel and Macan S is a spring suspension, with which the crossover's ground clearance is 205 mm. Instead, buyers can opt for a mechatronic chassis with active dampers (standard on the Macan Turbo) or an air suspension that allows ground clearance to be adjusted between 180mm and 230mm. In addition, the air-sprung Macan can be further lowered by an additional 40 mm to make it easier to load things into the trunk in a standing position.

The name of the model comes from the Indonesian word for "tiger". The car is made in Germany.
